The system will prompt you to change your password to one ofyour choice that you will remember for all future log-ins.

Once you have logged in and confirmed your details arecorrect you can proceed to the “home” page which will show the list of vacanthouses that are currently advertised in your selected Areas of Choice.

Once you have any properties in your basket you MUST click onthe shopping trolley icon and " Proceed to Checkout", whichwill mean your expression of interest will be recorded for the property. Ifyou do not complete this step your expression of interest WILL NOT be recordedand you will not be considered for the property.

Any vacant houses will be put upon the CBL Website every Wednesday morning and you will have until thefollowing Tuesday night at midnight to express your interest.

  • 1) Rochtain ar Réadmhaoine - Access to Properties

    Please note applicants are not to access sites or properties. Many properties are under final stages of construction, or refurbishment and not accessible or safe for viewing.

     
  • 2) Cad is Choice Based Letting (CBL) ann? - What is Choice Based Letting (CBL)?
     

    Is é is CBLann ná córas trínar féidir le hiarratasóirí tithíochta a chur in iúl go bhfuilspéis acu i réadmhaoine atá ar fáil ina limistéar/limistéir roghnaithe.

    CBL is a system that allows housing applicants to express their interest in available properties in their preferred area(s).

     
  • 3) An bhfuilim incháilithe le haghaidh CBL? - Am I eligible for CBL?

    To be eligible for CBL, you must be on the Clare County Council Social Housing Support List.

     
  • 4) Cé na réadmhaoine a bheidh ar fáil trí CBL a úsáid? - What properties will be available using CBL?
     

    Le CBL,tabharfar deis duit spéis a léiriú i raon réadmhaoine cónaithe atá lonnaithelaistigh de do limistéar/limistéir roghnaithe agus atá oiriúnach do mhéid dotheaghlaigh. Taispeánfar an liosta réadmhaoine atá ar fáil ón gCéadaoin go dtían Mháirt gach seachtain.

    CBL will give you the chance to express an interest in a range of residential properties within your area(s) of preference that are suitable for the size of your household. The list of available properties will be displayed from Wednesday to Tuesday every week. 

    When you login to the system you will only see properties that match your areas of preference and bed need.

    Specially adapted properties and those designated for senior citizens will not be advertised on CBL.

    Yes. 

    The properties may be advertised before works required to bring it up to normal standards for letting are completed but all properties will be to normal standards before the formal hand over of keys.

     
  • 6) Má tá spéis agam i réadmhaoin CBL, cad a dhéanfaidh mé? - If I am interested in a CBL property, what do I do?
     

    Bain úsáid asan ainm úsáideora agus as an bpasfhocal a sheolaimid chugat chun an suíomhGréasáin CBL a sheiceáil uair amháin sa tseachtain ar a laghad chun a fháilamach an bhfuil spéis agat in aon cheann de na réadmhaoine atá liostaithe.

    Use the username and password we send you to check the CBL website at least once a week to see if you are interested in any of the properties listed.

    If you see a property you are interested in, you should ‘express your interest’. (We will provide a guide to help you use the system)

    If you do not ‘express your interest’, we cannot consider you for that property.

    If your application is successful, we will contact you.

     
  • 7) Cad a tharlóidh má tá spéis ag daoine eile sa réadmhaoin chéanna a bhfuil spéis agamsa inti? - What happens if other people are interested in the same property as me?
     

    I gcás goléiríonn níos mó ná duine amháin spéis i réadmhaoin ar leith, leithdháilfear anréadmhaoin ar an duine is airde ar ár liosta Tithíochta a léirigh spéis.

    Where more than one person expresses an interest in a property, the property will be allocated to the person highest on our Housing list who has expressed an interest.

    All offers of accommodation resulting from CBL will be subject to our normal Allocations processes including a review of the applicant’s continued eligibility for social housing and Garda & Estate Management clearance.

     
  • 8) Cá mhéad teach ar féidir liom tairiscint a chur isteach ina leith? - How many houses can I submit a bid for?

    You can place one expression of interest in each property displayed to you on the system. 

     
  • 9) Cad a tharlóidh má chaillim an spriocdháta le haghaidh spéis a léiriú i réadmhaoin? - What if I miss the deadline for expressing interest in a property?
     

    Níbhreithneofar thú le haghaidh leithdháileadh na teaghaise sin mura bhfuil spéisinti léirithe agat.

    You will not be considered for the allocation of that dwelling if you have not expressed an interest in it.

     
  • 10) Níl aon rochtain agam ar an Idirlíon – cad ba cheart dom a dhéanamh? - I don’t have access to the internet – what should I do?
     

    Tá fáilteromhat teacht isteach in oifigí na Comhairle. Beidh ár bhfoireann sásta cabhrúleat. Is féidir leat an tIdirlíon a úsáid saor in aisce i do leabharlannáitiúil freisin.

    You are welcome to come into the Council offices. Our staff will be happy to help you. You can also use the internet for free in your local library.

     
  • 11) Má fhaighim réadmhaoin tríd an gcóras seo, an mbainfear den liosta tithíochta mé? - If I get a property through this system will I be taken off the housing list?
     

    Bainfear thúden liosta tithíochta, toisc go mbeidh tithíocht leordhóthanach faighte agat.

    Yes, you will be removed from the housing list as you be adequately housed.

     
  • 12) Cad a tharlóidh do mo chuid ama ar an liosta tithíochta le CBL? An mbeidh an t-am céanna agam fós? - What will happen my time on the housing list with CBL? Will I still have the same time?
     

    Leanfaidh dochuid ama ar an liosta tithíochta ag carnadh mar is gnách.  Muraléiríonn tú spéis in aon réadmhaoine a fhógraítear ar líne, áfach, níbhreithneofar thú dóibh. 

    Your time on the housing list will continue to accumulate as normal.  However if you do not express an interest in properties advertised online, you will not be considered for them. 

     
  • 13) Cén fáth a bhfuil CBL á thabhairt isteach? - Why is CBL being introduced?
     

    Tá CBL áthabhairt isteach mar chuid den Straitéis Tithíochta Sóisialta 2020. Tabharfardeis leis d’iarratasóirí tithíochta a spéis i réadmhaoine atá ar fáil a léiriúdon Chomhairle.  Tá an próiseas ceaptha le bheith chomh cothrom agusis féidir mar go dtugann sé deis chomhionann do gach iarratasóir ar thithíochtféachaint ar na réadmhaoine atá ar fáil lena bhfreastalaítear ar a gcuidriachtanas.

    CBL is being introduced as part of the Social Housing Strategy 2020. It will give housing applicants the chance to express their interest in available properties to the Council.  The process is designed to be as fair as possible as it gives all housing applicants an equal opportunity to view available properties that meet their needs.

     
  • 14) Cad a tharlóidh má dhiúltaím do réadmhaoin trí CBL? - What happens if I refuse a property through CBL?
     

    Mádhiúltaítear tairiscint faoi Choice Based Letting (CBL), ní bheidh ant-iarratasóir i dteideal iarratas (tairiscint) eile a dhéanamh faoi CBL goceann tréimhse dhá mhí dhéag.

    A refusal of an offer under Choice Based Lettings (CBL) will result in the applicant not being entitled to make a further application(bid) under CBL for a period of twelve months

     
  • 15) Má léirím spéis i dteach a baineadh den suíomh Gréasáin dornán míonna ó shin agus atá ar ais ar líne anois, an gcuirfear an léiriú spéise a rinne mé roimhe seo san áireamh? - If I express an interest in a house that was taken down from the website a few months ago, and is now back online, will my previous expression of interest be taken into account?
     

    Nuair a bheidhteach curtha ar ais ar líne arís, beidh ar dhaoine a rinne iarratas roimhe seoair a spéis a léiriú arís. Ní chuirfear a léiriú spéise roimhe seo san áireamh– ní mór dóibh spéis nua a léiriú.

    When a house has been put up again previous people who applied will have to express their interest again.Your previous expression of interest will not count, you must express a newinterest.
